About Rotten Sponge
Rotten Sponge is a creative digital lab — a collection of websites and web experiments exploring how curiosity, code, and community intersect. Based in Goulburn, NSW, we don’t build for clients or trends. We build the things we believe the internet needs more of — tools, games, and weird little wonders that serve a purpose.
🧪 What We Make
From browser-based logic games like Lights Out and 2048, to mental health storytelling platforms like My Mental Health, our projects aim to be helpful, meaningful, or just plain fun — sometimes all three.
Every website is built from scratch with a clear purpose. No fluff. No filler. Just clean code and creative intent.
🎨 Why “Rotten Sponge”?
The name is deliberately odd. It’s a reminder not to take ourselves too seriously. It reflects our approach: soak up ideas, wring out what doesn’t work, and turn the mess into something new. Digital creativity doesn’t have to be sterile — sometimes, it needs a little chaos.
🔗 A Connected Web of Ideas
All our projects link back to this hub — not just as a portfolio, but as a mindset. Rotten Sponge represents an ethos: build tools that help, entertain, or inspire, without relying on surveillance, dark patterns, or extractive design. We’re not here to sell your data — just to share good ideas.
🚧 Always Evolving
This site is never “done.” Like the web itself, Rotten Sponge is in constant motion — with new layouts, experiments, and ideas always in progress. If you’re reading this, you’re part of that journey. Welcome aboard.
Rotten Sponge is what happens when curiosity gets root access.
